About Me

Christina Chady PhotoHello! My name is Christina Chady, your College Essay Coach.

I graduated with honors from Washington University in St. Louis with double majors in Anthropology and International and Area Studies before pursuing my MFA Creative Writing and Poetics from Naropa University as the Anne Waldman Fellow. Since in undergrad, I have focused my studies in language and writing. I have been editor-in-chief and managing editor of multiple publications and edited manuscripts and anthologies in addition to fulfilling my personal writing.

In addition to my focus in writing and editing, I understand undergraduate college admissions from multiple angles.

I have worked as an Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admissions for a competitive, top fifteen university as well as an International Admissions Counselor, where I worked one-on-one with students.  I know what makes a student stand out, and I have seen first hand the difference extra attention and care can make on an application.

I will be that guide for you.

Everyone absolutely is capable of presenting their story in a way that encompasses their personality, values, and ambitions. During my time as an admissions officer, I appreciated the small details that make each student unique. In speaking with them, I could tell their passions and how they would fit into the campus community.

Writing has been my life-long passion; it would be my greatest pleasure to share the excitement for the writing process with you and to make your essay-writing smooth and enjoyable.

The Personal Statement Essay is my favorite part of the application, both to write as a student and to read as an admissions officer. I hope it will be for you too!
